Fig. 1 : In 1998 in Davos - Switzerland at an altitude of 1600 m. above sea level a construction container was coated with vinyl-acrylic paint. At the same time, another construction container, Fig. 2 and Fig. 3, was painted with nasacoat 100% Acrylic Sun Glare. In just 3 years, the vinyl-acrylic paint applied on the container of Fig. 1 was totally damaged and chipped. |
On the other construction container in Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 the coating is still completely intact, after more than 16 years ( until 2015 ), thanks to the real resistance to UV rays of nasacoat 100% Acrylic Sun Glare. The damage caused by UV rays involves an irreversible breakdown of the molecular structure of almost any material. |
